ABOUT US
OUR PROCESS
Step 1
PLANNING AND CONCEPTION
During the project concept phase, we take time to learn what you want to accomplish and evaluate the possibilities for the space. We provide early schematic or conceptual guidance to help establish direction and develop a realistic construction budget. When architects or designers are involved, we welcome collaboration and value the expertise they bring to the project. This early planning stage helps create a strong foundation for the decisions, design development, scheduling, and construction work that will follow.
Step 2
PRE-CONSTRUCTION
During pre-construction, we review plans, assess site conditions, provide constructibility feedback, and identify the details needed before work begins. This phase may include budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, material selections, permitting coordination, and collaboration with architects, designers, and other project professionals. We establish a clear path forward so everyone understands the scope, schedule, responsibilities, and expectations before construction begins.
Step 3
CONSTRUCTION
Once construction begins, our focus shifts to managing the many details required to bring the project plans to life. We coordinate schedules, materials, subcontractors, inspections, and day-to-day construction activities while maintaining clear communication throughout the process. Our experience in both residential and commercial construction allows us to bring an organized, professional approach to each project. We remain actively involved from start to finish, addressing challenges as they arise and keeping the work moving forward. Attention to detail, teamwork, and thoughtful project management help us maintain quality while working toward the schedule, budget, and overall goals established during planning.
Step 4
Close-out
Close-out is the final stage of the construction process and ensures that every detail is addressed before the project is officially completed. During this phase, we coordinate final inspections, complete punch list items, organize project documentation, and confirm that required approvals are in place. We also review any remaining project details and provide information related to installed systems or equipment when needed. Our goal is to make the transition from construction to completion organized and straightforward.
Our Values
Westmont Builders was created around the values of honesty, quality, innovation, and teamwork. We believe those principles should guide both the way a project is built and the way people are treated throughout the construction process.
Our approach is straightforward. We take time to understand each project, communicate clearly, plan carefully, and work collaboratively with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and other professionals involved. Every project has its own challenges and priorities, so we focus on providing thoughtful solutions rather than applying the same approach to every job.
We also believe strong construction is about more than the finished structure. It is about creating a professional experience built on trust, organization, and mutual respect. Our goal is to deliver quality work while building lasting relationships with our clients, project partners, employees, and the communities we serve.
